St Vincent |

The largest island in the group, St Vincent has a rugged coastline dotted with beautiful black and white beaches. The Leeward (west) side is endowed with a series of spectacular slopes and valleys running down into tranquil waters and beaches such as Princess Bay and Cumberland Bay. At the northwestern tip of the island are the breathtaking Falls of Beleine, only accessible by boat and an experience not to be missed. Inland, the Botanical Gardens are well worth a visit. |

Bequia |
||
This tiny unspoilt island has been described as how the Caribbean was 20 years ago. The main town of Port Elizabeth is a sleepy place although well served with a few restaurants and some great bars and its inhabitants are amongst the friendliest we have come across anywhere. There are some lovely beaches including those at Lower Bay and Friendship Bay, which is also home to the excellent Moskito restaurant (Kate's favourite). A taxi tour of the island will show you some of the more out-of-way places and can also include a stop at the Turtle Sanctuary where Brother King wages a one-man battle to preserve the local population of Hawksbill turtles. We love Bequia so much, this is where we base ourselves when we are not sailing. |
